It has an averaged temperature of 25ºC and an altitude of 1183 meters. It is known as the “Touristic Empire of Caldas” thanks to its recent development, and its many attractions for tourism.

It offers the visitor a wonderful landscape and climate. Every two years the “Feria de la Colacion” is held to celebrate this product (Colacion is a sweet product made of sugar cane).
