Mocoa - Putumayo
The municipality of Mocoa is the capital of the Putumayo department and was founded in September 29th, 1563, along the Mocoa River in the north of the department.
Mocoa has an altitude of 55mts and an average temperature of 25C, but the municipality covers an area expanding from the Andes mountains to the flat lands, with the prescence of diiferent climates accordingly.
The most important economic activities of the department are agriculture and cattle ranching.

Access:
By land: Mocoa is accesible from the rest of the country by a new road connecting it with Pitalito in the Huila department. Other roads in regular state provide access to other populations in the Putumayo department.
