San Juan de Giron, most known simply as Giron, was funded in 1631. Being such an old town it has a very typical colonial architecture.

Its houses, with white walls, brown wooden doors and windows, and balconies, are very attractive, and make a great combination with its stoned streets and narrow sidewalks.
San Juan de Giron was declared National Monument in 1959.

Among the most recommended places you can find: “La catedral del Señor de los milagros”, the religious art museum, and “la capilla del corregidor”.

Giron is just a few minutes away from Bucaramanga, and has similar temperature with an average of 23C.
